Feb. 1971 – Sylmar, CA earthquake – home moderately damaged – not hurt
Fall 1972 – on commercial flight, lost engine, emergency land 15 minutes later at O’Hare Airport, Chicago
Nov. 1980 commercial plane crash Yap Island (south of Guam) – crashed on landing, caught fire, exploded 2
minutes after all evacuated, not seriously hurt
Jan. 1994 – Northridge, CA earthquake – home seriously damaged, not hurt
Aug. 2006 – Hurricane Dean – Cancun, Mexico Sheree and Glen evacuated inland from beach hotel and
rode out storm, unhurt
